#-Simple Peasures
I like the sun on bare skin,
The scorched ground on a summer day,
Warm beneath my feet.
I like quiet stars in quiet nights,
Twinkling, smiling down on me,
As I lie on cool grass, staring up through the trees.
I like quiet walks, slow strolls alone,
To commune with Him, seek His face,
As He guides me each day.
I like long talks with friends,
Sharing thoughts over tea for two,
Heart to heart, soul to soul.
I like to sit with you,
Such terrific company, silent,
As we share the rests between the notes.
I like simple pleasures,
Gestures that warm my heart,
Which touches my soul.
