#-Starry-starry Eyed

It glittered last night, with so many big names in the music industry all crowded into a cozy little niche in front of a fountain in Chijmes. It was a night of meeting new people, talking to old friends, performing our own blend of jazz, and of course, chilling to some grooving, pumping, funky acid jazz!! And to imagine touring artistes all playing together to make music so mighty exciting my feet were stomping all through the set. I mean stuff like Incognito, George Benson and they breeze through them, sounding so darn tight you can't help but be awed.

And even though we fade in comparison to them, they were so nice and friendly, even offering to give Boyle tips on his drumming. And KC came over to talk to us and tell us stories about his music and stuff. Like Ms Ang said, the true musicians don't have airs to them. how true. Got introduced to the CEO of suntec and the Manager of Chijmes, really nice people really, very warm and friendly, not to mention generous, buying us dinner and drinks.

So many thoughts in my head right now, remnants of the gig, the entire night. And although we really did sound quite bad, what an experience it was, and so touching that the audience and the other band were so kind and forgiving, even encouraging of our love for jazz and performing. There's nothing for me to say but,

I LOVED IT!!

Now I got to go for dinner. Might blog again later if my thoughts are more sorted out and I descend from Cloud9.
