Tonight was my first time at Union Square, and it sucked. What a complete flop. Sure some of the dancers there were really good and of course the merengue was very hot to watch, but its so cramped, the bartenders are rude and impolite, and the people who go there are mostly regulars or something. And when a beginner like me tries to dance, first I try dancing with a beginner lady, bad idea. They have terrible frame and can't follow. And then when I try dancing with a better standard lady, I was sandwiched between 2 very inconsiderate and somewhat violent couples, who took up so much space I hardly had space to even do anything other than a basic. And the thing is they don't even care that you're beginner and give you some space, no they're too engrossed in their own dancing and shaking their hips looking like sluts to care about beginners. Totally unprofessional. The lady I danced with must've been bored to death dancing with me because I could hardly move.-- Closed --
