#-Dance Marathon

My friend talks about a Lindy fix, well there is such a thing as Salsa fix too, especially when there are people there you absolutely love to dance with. And even though I have few moves, compared to the more experienced dancers, I realize just how much I style, such that simple moves are just as cool as complicated moves. In fact, I don't really find much pleasure in executing complicated moves, rather, I prefer to really enjoy and savour the simple moves, groove and move to them.

Today saw me Swinging at Esplanade from 1930 till 2200. Perspired like a dog but had a great time. The floor was terrible at the Powerhouse though, but it didn't deter anyone from having a good time. And after 2200, I went over to Jitterbugs for Salsa, because I just can't bear not dancing with you. Of course I enjoyed it thoroughly; I always do, dancing with you. I cannot deny being attracted to you.

Sometimes I resent this attraction for the opposite sex. Somehow it makes everything so complicated, so tiring. Of course it's human nature to find a partner, but I wonder why it takes so much effort, or even wonder why it is necessary. But in fact, after one discovers the Love of God, finding a partner doesn't seem necessary anymore. I realize I would be as happy if I did get attached as if I remain single all my life. Actually, I ask God quite often to take away this attraction and desire for the opposite sex, since for me, it definitely hinders my service to Him. But then again I really do wonder if He has given me the gift of "Singlehood", because I would really be honoured to receive such a gift.

There's a dance marathon at Esplanade tomorrow night. I tried to ask you to join me but you have some chalet thing to attend. Oh well, at least I should get to Swing with the other Swing people for an hour, then Salsa with other Salsa people for another hour, then over to Harry's to Swing some more, and then possibly to Southbridge to listen to Aaron Goldberg, but unlikely, since the cover charge is $20!! It's a packed weekend, but I'll enjoy every minute of it.
