It's 3AM. I just got back from Harry's where the whole bunch of Swing dancers were. First was Dance Marathon at Esplanade, which was really quite boring, because most of the people who went were there to learn how to dance. Especially Salsa, such that the social ended up with only 3 songs to dance to. So from Esplanade we migrated to Harry's at about 10 when the music started. It was the first night I got to hear Tony Makarome play, due to Christy Smith being at Southbridge. He's not bad, but not as good as I thought he would be. Then again, the music was great and the energy level in the place was way high.

So I managed to dance all the way till about 2AM. Finally got introduced to the more pro dancers, had the pleasure of dancing with Jo, Pam and Ming. All great dancers with loads of groove. As if dancing Lindy with them wouldn't be enough fun, I ended up dancing Salsa, ChaCha, Merengue and Bachata with Jo on the Bossa numbers. Was truly a fantastic experience dancing with her, and I have to say she's a terrific follow, for one who only learnt Salsa and Merengue for a short period of time, and never danced ChaCha (On2) before. Had so much fun dancing with her.

Also, tonight I had the not-so-pleasant experience of a lady's crotch pressed up and rubbing against my thigh when I danced a slow number with someone. I tried my best to stick my butt out so we wouldn't actually be making much contact, but her chest was pressed hard against mine, such that I could feel her breasts, which was gross. But more importantly, she didn't stick out her butt, so there were a couple of steps where I couldn't quite get my leg far enough from her, resulting in my feeling the heat from her privates on my own thigh, and even worse, having her thigh occasionally brushing against my own crotch. NOT A GOOD FEELING. See I didn't have such a problem when I danced with Jo. But then again, she taught Balboa previously, so she's much more familiar with such close holds. Maybe next time if I have to dance a slow number with this lady again, I'll have to tell her to stick her butt out.

Other than that, it was a terrific night of dancing and great fun!
