#-Warr!!
The Warr has arrived! The revolution has started, or more likely, the relearning has begun. haha. When I first saw the case yesterday, I got the shock of my life. IT'S SO HUGE!!! and not to mention weighs a ton. I couldn't even carry it up the stairs so I had to ask my brother to give me a hand.
When I opened the case. There she was in all her glory, lying in a bed of plush, basking in the awe which must've been so obvious on my face. She's nothing short of gorgeous, and lighter than I had expected. So carefully I removed her from her slumber, and tried the sound through my Raezer's Edge and Clarus. The Mahogany and Walnut produces such a sweet and full-bodied sound, plus of course the characteristic Bartolini tone.
Today I practiced right-hand technique, guitar side through my Roland Cube60, with no reverb, and the tone was so clear and cutting, transparent but yet with a depth to it. My bass side ran through my Raezer's Edge and Clarus, and of course that performs fantastically as always, deep bass with the rumble, even though my amp isn't exactly suited for bass frequencies.
Dad helped me dig out all my Piano Grade1-3 books for me to learn on the Warr. I think it'll be very useful to follow them, to build up proper technique and sight-reading. Hopefully, I can perform in 6 months time, so I can at least perform in Singapore as the first to own such an instrument, before I go overseas. Practice practice practice.
