#-What a little make-up can do

Remember the really cute lady from Attitude Dance School, whom I danced with at Esplanade awhile back? I thought she was absolutely stunning, then. I saw her again at Union last night. Danced with her. Didn't quite get that feeling anymore. Sure she has a fabulous body and beautiful legs, not to mention dances really well, but I didn't find her that attractive last night, not even physically. Which leads me to conclude that make-up for performances do miracles. When I saw her at Esplanade, she had a really funky hairdo and lots of glitter make-up, which made her look really cute, yet sexy at the same time. I'm such a sucker for glitter or anything shiny. haha. Well at least I got the pleasure of dancing with her, because she is a great dancer.

And after being unable to dance with my "favourite" lady for 3 weeks due to her exams, dancing with her last night didn't give me very much pleasure either. Even in Bachata I didn't find myself enjoying the dance as much as I expected. In fact, I didn't quite enjoy it at all. Looks like she really isn't a very good follow after all. But nowadays I enjoy dancing with YokeMun and Candice more, simply because they have much better frames and following technique. Oh well.

My new toy for the weekend is a Guitar POD XT Live by Line6. Lester was kind enough to go to City Music with me to help me search for a pedal, and after trying out the VoxTonelabs, Kord ToneWorks, and the POD XT Live, I decided to go for the POD. The Vox looks uber chic and boutique, but although it has a tube, the analog sound didn't sound as warm as I would've liked it. The Korg has the best sounds, even out of a Solid State, but the options are more limited and the pedal on the whole was rather difficult to navigate and understand. Ahh but the POD really stood out. Although the sound doesn't quite compare to the Korg, it is good enough for me, and is actually quite really quite easy to control, which is a big factor for me since I don't see myself using that much of pedals. Hopefully though I will start practicing more on it with my Warr.
