#-Honey, I'm home!

Despite the blistering cold, causing my skin to crack all over my body, I still didn't want to leave London. It was fun, my short one week there, and even the interviews were fun. Actually the Imperial one was way more fun than the UCL one. Not only did they ask the typical questions but they asked me about my music as well, and I remember clearly how they asked me who I thought was the most important Jazz figure in history, to which I answered Miles Davis and John Coltrane, of course, having revolutionized modal jazz and bebop, thinking about music way ahead of their time. I got a little carried away elaborating on that so he had to pull back to the topic. The only problem I had was the ethical question about the Ashlee case, where they asked if it were justifiable to stop a person's growth based on the fact that he/she was mentally and physically disabled, therefore by stopping the growth will safe costs of maintainance. I said it wasn't justifiable and elaborated, but they pushed me and asked if there were any curcimstance where it would be justifiable. Although I said no again, I couldn't really support my argument.

So well we'll see in due time what the results are, and I pray that God will give me not only grace to accept whatever the result, but also clear direction.

I remember how the Imperial interview felt terribly rushed, probably due to me being the 2nd last person for the day, Natalie being the last. They really kinda tried to cut me off of all my sentences and didn't really seem very focused. Oh and I think it's Jean, not Jane. I also realized that Nat is actually a rather brilliant person, by the way she thinks and reasons, contrary to the impression I had of her sister. Plus because she was nervous, she was on hyper-mode on Imperial day and became really friendly, greeting everyone and talking to them. But not only that, I realized that most of the reaching out to make friends with the other people being interviewed were done by us Singaporeans. It's weird really, because I always thought Angmohs were friendlier, but it seems they weren't as outgoing, and alot less confident as well.

2 weeks, then I'll know.

Thanks Ian for bringing me around and entertaining me, even though your room is in a horrific state. We tried going to Jitterbugs but it was closed that evening. And it was great to see Joyce again! It's really funny how we just all slip back into Singlish conversation when we're together but when around the locals, we even speak with accents! Hopefully, I'd be able to see you guys at the end of the year. Which college, we'll see soon enough.

Tomorrow night I'll be feeling worse, knowing that I have to book into camp on Monday...
