#-London
London is TERRIBLY cold!
I just had my UCL interview this afternoon, in nothing short of a beautiful campus. The only thing that was missing was nice pleasant weather, and a fun interview. The interview was actually quite boring and all the questions asked were...typical. In fact, they didn't even want to look at my portfolio. But at least I got to meet many new people, plus Nat Ngoi and her friend were there too, which is always nice. Thing was that there were namy graduates there who had applied to Med School, so I got to talk to them to find out more about the other colleges and campuses. Included in the list of internationals were people from Pakistan, Cairo, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The UCL campus is really pretty and just oozes character, which really does appeal to me. It has a sense of comfort and nostalgia even though it is my first time there. Too bad the interview was so boring; they asked normal questions like why I wanted to take Medicine and why UCL, along with why I want to study in London and what aspects make me suited as a doctor. Actually the ony most interesting question went like this, "if you had $50000 to make a film about a major health disease or problem, what health problem would it be, besides AIDS?", to which I answered obesity, which obviously was a primed response from what Ian told me about obesity and mental illness yesterday. But well, hopefully I can get in.
Tomorrow I will go to Imperial for the interview, where I will meet Jane and Nat again. Apparently there is where they might ask about obesity and mental illness. Hopefully it'll be a more interesting interview, because I was bored with the UCL interview, although London at night is really quite a pretty sight.
Now the only thing I really can't take about London is the cold in winter, but at least it's only one season, and usually not
this cold.
