#-Mosaic

The 2 Mosaic Concerts I've attended so far leaves more to be desired from such a high profiled festival. While the Duke Ellington Orchestra was quite impressive, Tower of Power weren't all that powerful. Sure they were rather loud and most of the band was tight, but the drummer just didn't have a solid beat, which made the whole band sound lower than my expectations.

But, Byron Stripling of the Duke Ellington Orchestra just stole the show. With those beautiful trumpet lines and a gorgeous voice, his impending presence just grabbed the audience's attention straightaway. On the other hand, Freda the lady singer just sounded like any other bar or pub singer and didn't stand out much. The horns were uber tight though.

Come Thursday, we'll see if Chick Corea and Gary Burton blow our minds.

I just found out the term in Imperial begins earlier than I expected, and the fees have increased, so much so that all our calculations don't really apply anymore. So now, in order to go there, I really have to pray and trust in God's providence. Just trust.;
